Our rules and terms of attendance
Each guest is bound by the itinerary and rules of the specific retreat they have booked. Specific villas can be chosen for a retreat. However, provided the conditions of luxury and accommodation are met as advertised for a guest's specific retreat, Nava Haus Retreats reserves the right in its absolute discretion to change villas for/on a retreat. Nava Haus Retreats will inform each guest before such a change, of the location of the new villa and the reasons for the change by email and any other agreed mode of communication.
YOUR RETREAT ATTENDANCE
By purchasing all or part of your ticket you agree to attend your chosen retreat and agree that your package is non-refundable unless your retreat is cancelled by Nava Haus Retreats. On completing and submitting your booking form during the ticket purchase process via our website, you agree to be bound by our retreat rules.
You can transfer your ticket by giving us adequate notice provided we are satisfied that your replacement is suitable to attend the chosen retreat. Should you wish to do so, please contact our team via the contact form on the bottom of the home page at .. We may also need to call you to ask you a few questions about the transfer. If your transfer request is accepted, we will confirm this by sending you an email. Your transfer will become final from the date and time your ‘Transfer Accepted’ email is sent.
For at least the duration from the moment of purchase till the end of your chosen retreat as stated on our website , it is important for us to have your current details including mobile phone number and email address in our membership database. By purchasing all or part of your ticket, you agree that we can hold your personal details for us to use in connection with your retreat. If your contact details change, please let us know via email on .
We accept deposits and balance payment structures fir our retreat packages. Deposits are non-refundable. Please read the terms and guidance notes against each ticket for specific details on completion times and offers. By providing us with your payment details, you accept and consent to these terms. It is within our discretion to end early bird prices at any time, based on the terms and guidance provided on the ticketing page for the specific ticket type chosen.
Failure to pay the balance(s) due may result in the guest not being admitted to the retreat.
A sample retreat itinerary will be provided to you for each retreat. Itinerary content is for guidance and may change depending on circumstances such as unavoidable change of trainer, weather changes and other situations beyond our control. Where there are changes or cancellations, we will always endeavour to provide suitable, similar replacement activities for the changed activities. We will not provide partial or any other refunds for replaced activities.
YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Members are not permitted to bring other guests with them to the villas at any one time. If there is a cogent reason to bring a non-retreat guest to the villa(s), one of our hosts must be contacted for permission. Any guests breaking this rule may be evicted from the retreat immediately and there will be no refunds. A retreat guest's guests may not in any circumstances enter the villa(s) without the retreat guest being present. Retreat guests may not be separated from their guests within the villa or allow their guests to remain in the villa when they leave. Retreat guests are responsible for ensuring their guests follow all villa and retreat rules and policies and can face immediate eviction if they or their guests violate such rules or policies.
The retreats are typically designed for adults, but aim to be child-friendly. In cases where we have family/child friendly retreats, please read the retreat guidance and terms carefully about its rules regarding children, since they will vary. Please remember that your children are your responsibility at all times when present at the villa(s) and ensure they are not left unattended at any time.
PRIVACY FOR GUESTS
Guests must not approach, disturb or solicit others in their villas with whom they are not personally acquainted unless it is mutually agreeable. Doing so may lead to caution or eviction.
To protect the relaxed atmosphere within the villas, members may not take or make phone calls except when in their rooms or outside and phones should be in silent/vibration mode while in and around the villas. Texting is permitted and calls may be made in designated areas within the villas, which will be defined and communicated from the Nava Haus Retreats hosts. Please ensure that you adhere to our phone policy.
No cameras, video or other recording devices, whether live-streaming or otherwise and whether on a mobile phone or other medium, may be used while inside the villas without the express permission of all present. The villa host reserves the right to take possession of any mobile phone, camera, video or other recording device for the purpose of deleting any photos, videos or other recorded images used or taken while on villa premises in cases where disputes arise over the filming or recording of such material.
Movies, videos, songs, internet calls, presentations and all other audio must only be played through headphones and should not be audible to any other guest present unless permission is given. Internet calls must only take place in designated areas.
Nava Haus Retreats management and all staff members are required to adhere to the strictest confidentiality standards and pledge to maintain all records and personal information concerning the guests in the strictest confidence.
No guest shall purchase, use, ingest, possess, sell or otherwise distribute illegal drugs or other substances or attempt to do any of the same from any guest or shall ask any Nava Haus Retreats staff for illegal drugs or other substances while on our retreats premises or on any activities listed on our itinerary or in the immediate vicinity thereof. If any of the actions above prove true, the relevant guest will be removed from the retreat immediately.
No guest shall purchase, sell, use or possess any object which is illegal or offensive while on retreats premises or on any activities listed on our itinerary or in the immediate vicinity thereof. If any such objects are found, the item will be confiscated, the relevant guest will be removed from the villa or activity in question and their attendance may be terminated immediately and depending on the circumstances we may have to call the police or relevant authorities.
All bills must be settled in full before leaving the retreats optional activities such as non-villa lunches, drinks and dinners. There are no credit facilities. Guests are responsible for their bills.
FOOD AND BEVERAGES
You may bring certain types of food and beverage to your room. However, you may not store such in any of the shared villa areas without the knowledge and permission of our host. Please ensure you contact your villa/retreats host if you wish to bring any food or beverages to your villa to be sure they conform to our rules. Any food or beverage items brought on to the villas without permission may be removed immediately.
We may at times close all or part of the villas to guests for necessary maintenance or repair work. We will always notify you when this is to occur and we will always ensure to make the closure quick and as non-disruptive as possible.
Where all or part of the villa is closed for maintenance, repair or redecoration work, or where we need to withdraw facilities or services because we consider that they may pose a risk to the health or safety of our guests or staff, we will seek to ensure that any such area, facility or service is reinstated as soon as practicable.
We love to hear what our guests get up to at Nava Haus Retreats. Whilst you are a guest at our retreats, we may ask you to give your views of, and experiences at, Nava Haus Retreats and we may also film, video or photograph our icebreaker events at our villas and itinerary activities for use in our advertising, promotions, public relations, and other commercial/business purposes. If you take part in these interviews or events, you agree that we may use your name, image and limited other information and consent to us publishing any materials produced by, or for us, for any purpose without your further consent and you waive your right to receive any payment from us in connection with such publication.
ACCIDENTS AND INJURIES
We want all our guests to relax and enjoy the activities and facilities available at our retreats in safety. Please be aware that some of our villas are set in open country with lakes, cliffs and other natural features that can be hazardous.
Guests agree to observe the rules, safety explanations and any signs published or displayed on our retreats at any time, only swim in designated areas and to take reasonable precautions when travelling around the grounds or using the facilities at the villas.
If a guest has an accident or suffers any injury at, or in the vicinity of, the villa or our retreat activities, please report to a member of staff immediately. As well as wanting to check on a guest’s well-being, this information is needed in order to help us comply with our health and safety obligations and for insurance purposes.
No animals will be allowed in the villas except with prior permission from our hosts (as in the case of legally recognised and certified assistance dogs) or except for animal friendly retreats.
Guests be aware that for safety reasons, we use CCTV across some of our villas.
All guests are obligated to abide by the Nava Haus Retreats smoking policy then in effect and to all applicable no-smoking governmental laws, rules and regulations. No smoking (including e-cigarettes and vapes) is allowed inside the villas at any time. Nava Haus Retreats reserves the right to prohibit or limit smoking in any area of the villa or retreat premises at any time at its sole and absolute discretion.
Nava Haus Retreats reserves the right to designate certain outside areas of the villa premises as smoking areas and to change the location of such areas at any time however, all guests are requested to respect the wishes of other guests with respect to smoking and to refrain from smoking when requested to do so.
Conduct by a guest that is prejudicial to the reputation and character of Nava Haus Retreats may result in expulsion of such a guest with immediate effect. Such conduct may include inappropriate, violent or abusive behaviour or the communication of information concerning other guests on the retreat to the media. An expelled guest may not return to any retreat as a guest or friend of a guest. Nava Haus Retreats will not refund such guest's retreat costs and ensuring flights for such a guest will be purely at Nava Haus Retreats' discretion. Any guests who wilfully remove, damage or destroy any property belonging to the villa or to other guests on the premises of the villa(s) or on retreat activities will be liable to expulsion. Nava Haus Retreats will not be liable for replacing the damaged items and such a guest may be sued for repairs and/or compensation.
Every guest binds him/herself to abide by the rules and regulations of Nava Haus Retreats at all times upon purchasing a retreats package.
Nava Haus Retreats is constituted to encourage non-political, social and recreational activities.
RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF ATTENDANCE
A guest shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of the villa granted to a person in his or her capacity as a guest and shall be bound by these rules but shall have no proprietary rights in any of the premises or in respect of property of the villa.
USE OF EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES
Use of any of the gym or fitness equipment, areas or facilities available at a villa is entirely at the risk of a member or his or her guests. Introduction sessions explaining how to safely and properly use any provided or available fitness equipment are available and in the case of supervised training, all safety precautions should be explained clearly by the instructor. You must not use any equipment or undertake any activity at a villa unless you are satisfied that you are competent to do so in a safe and proper manner. You will also be required to complete a health commitment statement confirming that you are in good health and in a fit state to attend our retreats during the booking finalisation process when you create your retreats profile.
When using any equipment and facilities available at a villa, you must take care to safeguard your own health and safety and that of other people, and you will be solely responsible for any loss or injury that you cause to yourself, other persons or to the equipment or facilities to the extent that it is caused through your unsafe or improper use of the equipment or facilities (including your use of them whilst under the influence of alcohol or medication) or your failure to advise staff of a medical condition relevant to your use of the equipment or facilities.
LIABILITY OF Nava Haus Retreats
All items brought into a villa are brought and left entirely at the risk of a guest. Nava Haus Retreats, its servants and/or agents shall not be liable to any member or guest for any loss, damage or injury suffered by them or their property howsoever caused, save in respect of death or personal injury to a guest to the extent caused by the negligence of Nava Haus Retreats, its servants and/or agents. This is not intended to affect any mandatory rights a guest may have under local law that we cannot legally restrict or exclude.
INTERPRETATION OF THE RULES
In the event of any dispute arising as to the meaning or interpretation of these rules, the matter shall be referred to the Nava Haus Retreats host on site. If this needs escalation, it will be referred to the Nava Haus Retreats complaints team, whose decision with respect to the dispute shall be final and without appeal.
These rules shall be governed and construed in accordance with English law and each member agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
AMENDMENTS TO THE RULES
