Doing lots of fitness and yoga but still feeling there is more? This retreat is a journey into balance and self-discovery with healing to complete the journey of wellness in mind, body and spirit.


Partnering with Ricardo Vargas and Nadine Reader, this is one of our most international retreats with guests joining us from The US, EU and Middle East.


You get:

  • Luxury beachside villa accommodation (4 nights, 5 days)
  • All meals (excluding 2 dinners out in local restaurants) prepared by our private chef, teas, coffees and snacks included in the villa.
  • Daily Warrior Workouts with Nadine and Ricardo
  • Outdoor swimming in heated pools with stunning seaviews
  • Guided, excursions, walks and social visits into town


Warrior Workout Programme:

Ricardo and Nadine’s warrior workout is a 60 minute class which combines:

  • 25 mins of YOGA
  • 25 mins of HIIT
  • followed by a 10  minute Sound Bath Meditation. 

Coupling the ancient science of Yoga with modern movements reduces stress, increases mobility and strengthens and tones the muscles. Tibetan Singing bowls relax and rejuvenate the body on a cellular level. This class is ideal for anyone who wants to turn it up, turn it down and is seeking a holistic approach to fitness; wellness  in mind, body, and spirit.


This is an invitation to you to take some time for yourself. Surrender to your own impulses, feel your own body and give space to your feelings. Located in the historic city of Lagos, from where expeditions of Portuguese navigators sailed to discover four continents.


Our aim is to host you individually as you personally experience a physical and spiritual rebalancing journey, in connection with the natural surroundings.



Our Villas:

Our two neighbouring villas each have:

  • 5 double bedrooms
  • Very close proximity to Porto de Mós beach
  • High standars of furnishing & equipping
  • Spacious alfresco dining verandas overlooking the beach & ocean
  • Large swimming pools with a pool side gate with access to the beach, a 3-4 minute walk away. 
  • Prime beach location with ample sun loungers & outdoor dining areas.

We consider ourselves as a part of nature which we always connect with - thus we offer excursions to attractions in the Algarve as well as hikes with Yoga and Meditation sessions at magical places in the wonderful landscape. Please read more below



Activities:

SWIM

Dive into our pool for some energetic exercise or feel the lukewarm waters of the Atlantic and enjoy invigorating moments of well-being. Good for the body and soothing for the mind.


WATER SPORTS

The options are endless. Join a surf, windsurf or parasailing class. Discover Ponta da Piedade by kayak or the southwest coast of the Algarve on a SUP. You can even go on a fishing trip out in the ocean with family and friends. You are free to grow your own unique memories.


RUN

The natural landscape of Ponta da Piedade, the Atlantic Ocean and the surrounding natural setting combined with the picturesque city of Lagos provide the scenario and unique trails to run, hike or maybe just walk.


CYCLE

Discover the Via Algarviana, paths that invite you to discover a less known Algarve. Green trails, hidden beach coves, river channels and secondary roads await.


MONCHIQUE MOUNTAIN

Walking or trekking or even cycling along the Monchique mountain range will take you away from the touristic routes and into the inland Algarve. Adventure awaits.


NATURAL PARK

The Natural Park of the Vicentine Coast and Southwest Alentejo is just about half an hour from the Cascade Wellness Resort and it extends along the Southwest Coast of Portugal for about 100 kilometres. Discover its marked trails and watch exceptional fauna and flora.

Nadine Reader (@glorygirlfit)

Nadine Reader is a life and wellness coach with over 13 years of experience specializing in fitness (boxing, kettlebell training, HIIT and personal training) and as an ICF certified coach her passion is to lead people to their heart-homes through the process of self compassion and self knowledge.


Nadine became a sought after contributor to international fitness publications such as Fitness, Women’s Health and Shape magazine. As a professional fitness model she graced the covers of 7 international magazines including Women’s Health Middle East. In 2016 she was awarded the prestigious female personality of the year in the United Arab Emirates and was recognized by Ahlan magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the UAE four years in a row.


Despite these achievements she suffered from severe anxiety and decided to put her high profile career on pause to reflect on her life. This decision resulted in a quest for self-knowledge which led her to the practice of Yoga, breathwork and meditation. And now with a deeper understanding that our outer world reflects our inner world, her mission is to guide those who seek to live a meaningful life of purpose in a loving, adventurous and joyous way..


Ricardo Varga (@fitlikeric)

Ricardo Vargas is a Master Trainer with over 15 years of experience. He has taught classes in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami, San Francisco, London, Dubai and the Caribbean. A broken engagement in 2016 left him questioning the course of his life. Feeling unfulfilled by material success, he donated most of his worldly possessions, purchased a one way ticket to the Far East and embarked upon a spiritual quest. His destiny led him to India where he met his Guru. That Divine meeting with his master forever changed the course of his life. As a result of his studies in mysticism and his Guru’s teachings, Ricardo infuses the essence of Eastern philosophy with the discipline of Western fitness to create a system of self-mastery designed to align the mind, body and soul. His mission is simple: To educate, enhance and empower the lives of those he serves.



What to expect on a  typical day:

Start your day with an energising Warrior Workout session and fuel yourself with a healthy breakfast before selecting your activity for the day. All equipment will be prepared for you and breakfast and brunch prepared daily by our inhouse chef. Simply rollout of bed, grab your sun cream and we’ll take care of the rest!


Your hosts will guide you through the itinerary making sure you get the most out of each day.


After a day full of activities and adventure, you’ll be transported back to the villa for optional activities including sound bath for relaxation to open energy lines and relieve stress. Wrap the day up with a healthy feast from the in-house chef whilst mingling with fellow retreat guests poolside on the terrace.
